Adding a data series in Microsoft Excel 2019

Let’s add the January series backto the chart located in cell A26, as follows:

  1. Select the chart to which you need to add a series.
  2. Click on the Select Data iconlocated on the Design tab.
  1. The Select Data Source dialog boxwill appear, as illustrated in the followingscreenshot:

  1. Click to select the Add icon fromthe Select Data Source dialogbox.
  2. Click on the fly-out arrow located on the right of the Series name: text area and select the January heading.
  3. Click on the fly-in arrow to return to the Edit Series dialog box, as illustratedin the following screenshot:

  1. Click on the fly-out arrow under the Series values: text area and select theB5:B8 January sales figures.
  2. Click on the fly-in arrow to return to the Edit Series dialog box.
  3. Click to select OK to confirm theseries to be added to the chart.
  4. The data is updated in the chart, and January is now included.
