Adjusting print settings in Microsoft PowerPoint 2019

Let’s have a look at the presentation print and slide optionsavailable in PowerPoint 2019, as follows:

  1. To access the Print Settings,click on the File tab to access theBackstage view and select Print fromthe menu, as illustrated in the following screenshot:

  1. Under the Settings heading, clickto choose a printer from the drop-down list provided. Printer propertiesare accessible just underneath the Printer list, and options therein willdiffer depending on the printer type selected. The list can be seen inthe following screenshot:

  1. Just to the right of the Printicon, you will notice the Copies: spinbutton, which allows the user to specify the number of sets of slides toprint, as illustrated in the following screenshot:

  1. Often, you would use the Collateoption with the Copies: option. Ifprinting multiple copies of the same presentation, you might want tocollate them so that the printout is in sets or prints the number ofcopies of slide 1, then the number of copies of slide2, and so on. This option is illustrated in the followingscreenshot:

  1. From the Settings option, you canchoose the following printing options. The default is set to the Print All Slides option for thepresentation, as illustrated in the followingscreenshot:

  1. If you click on the Full PageSlides option, you get will access to other options allowing theprinting of Notes Pages, Outline, and Handouts. The Handouts option offers many methods ofplacing slides onto a page. At the bottom of the list, you will findoptions to add a frame around each slide, scale the slides to fit thepaper, print in high quality, print comments, or print inkdrawings, as illustrated in the following screenshot:

  1. To print back to back (both sides of the paper), click on the Print One Sided drop-down list, and selectPrint on Both Sides. There are alsooptions relating to flipping the page the long or short edge of thepaper, as illustrated in the following screenshot:

  1. To print the slides in Grayscale,click to choose the Color drop-downlist, as illustrated in the following screenshot:

  1. Click on the Header and Footeroption to make final changes to these areas before you print thepresentation, as illustrated in the followingscreenshot:

  1. Click on Apply to add the changesto the current slide or Apply to Allto make the changes to the entire presentation.
