Software recommendation: browsed web pages fast index

We browse a lot of web pages every day, sometimes we remember that there is something we need on a web page, but when we look back, we can’t find it, so we might as well index the information on the web pages we have browsed to get twice the result with half the effort.

Install the corresponding functional extensions

To index web pages, you need to install the “WorldBrain’s Memex” extension on your browser, open the official website ( and click on the Click on the “FREE DOWNLOAD” button in the web page, and you will see several browser icons in the pop-up dialog. Click on the appropriate icon according to the browser you are using to jump to the download page of the extension, and you can download and install it (Figure 1).

After installation, you can see the extension icon in the toolbar of your browser and you don’t need to do anything, just browse the web pages as you used to. This extension will quietly index the browsed content in the background of the system like a search engine, and create a database of corresponding document information, which will not take up much disk space because the indexed information is all text information of web pages.

Tip: Since the domestic 360 Extreme Browser, QQ Browser, Sogou Browser, etc. are developed on the basis of Google Chromium, users only need to click the Google Chrome icon to install this feature extension for these browsers.

When we want to look up the index information, we first position the mouse to the address bar of the browser, then press the shortcut key “W+spacebar”, in the address bar pop-up drop-down menu, you can see the “WorldBrain’s Memex “Click on it to enter the extended query page, which will display the title of the URL we have visited (Figure 2).

After entering the appropriate keywords in the search box, you can search in the title and content of the page, and click on the link in the result to open the link to browse the content (Figure 3).

For example, if we click the Add Tags button, enter a tag name in the pop-up dialog box, and then click the Add Tags button, we can tag the web link. Later, we only need to click the “Filters” button on the left side of the interface, select the “Tags” option in the pop-up list and then select the corresponding tag name, so that we can filter all the information in all records related to the tag in all records.

In addition to filtering by “Tags”, we can also filter by “Domain” and other methods.
