Choosing a different first page in Microsoft Word 2019

In the previous section, our page footer numbering included the firstpage, which is the cover page. Since we do not want a number on thispage, we need to do some tweaking to remove the numbering from the firstpage only:

1. Double-click on the footer area in the document to openit.
2. Go to the Header & FooterOptions group.
3. Select Different First Page.
4. With that, the problem has been fixed! Our cover page is nowexcluded from the header and footer entries.
