Creating a signature in Microsoft Outlook 2019

  1. Open a new email message, then click on Signature. In the list, you will see anyexisting signatures.
  2. To create a new signature, choose Signatures… from the drop-down list, asillustrated in the following screenshot:

  1. Click on the New icon to create anew signature. In the textbox that populates, enter a name for thesignature. The name of the signature is not going to appear in theemail; it is just a name given to the signature to identify it.
  2. Click on OK when done.
  1. In the Edit signature text bodyarea, type the contact details, and format the text using the optionsprovided. Note that you can also insert a picture and a hyperlink, aswell as a business card. These options can be seen in the followingscreenshot:

  1. To the right of the dialog box, you will see the Choose default signature heading. If you donot want to add the signature you have just created to every new emailmessage you compose, then you would need to change the option in thedrop-down list next to New messages:to (none). Also, note that this can bechanged using File | Options | Mail |Signatures. You can set a separate signature for the Replies/forwards: option as well.
  2. Click on OK to confirm.
