Office workers daily to the computer screen, a long time eyes will feel dry and painful, in order to alleviate this symptom, the Internet appeared a number of gadgets in the name of eye protection, their “eye protection mode” in two general ways, one is to reduce the screen blue light, and another is to adjust the background of the software window to a more comfortable The background of the software window is adjusted to a more comfortable color (commonly light green). To adjust the background color of the window, we do not need software, we can do it by modifying the system registry.

Get the color code to set

First, we open the drawing program that comes with the system, then click the “Edit Color” button in the toolbar, in the pop-up dialog box you can see a lot of color options. We can either select the existing green color in the “Basic Color”, or click the color we think is more suitable according to our needs on the right side. After the selection is completed, you can see the “red”, “green” and “blue” options in the bottom right corner of the dialog box, the corresponding values in these three options constitute the color code of the color The values of these three options exactly constitute the color code of the color, so record them for backup (Figure 1).

Press the shortcut key Win+R to open the Run box, type “regedit” and press Enter to open the Registry Editor, expand [HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelColors] on the left side, then find the right window inside Then find the “Window” item in the right-hand window, double-click to open it, and see the default white value. Delete the default values and modify them to the three values we just recorded. We need to remind you that each color value needs to be spaced with a space between them (Figure 2).

Color code conversion before modification

Next, there is one more value that needs to be modified, but the value in this option is in hexadecimal, not decimal as we just used. So first open链接 in your browser, click on “Color Code Converter” on the web page, and then enter the three values you just recorded into the “Convert RGB color values to hexadecimal The color code can be obtained by clicking the “Convert” button below (Figure 3).

Next, return to the Registry Editor and expand the list on the left to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionThemesDefaultColorsStandard], then find the same in the right window “Double click to open this item, delete the default value and fill in the color code just converted above, click “OK”. After setting, we need to restart the computer, and then when we open the text editor and other applications, we will find that their background color has become the color we set (Figure 4).

★ Modify the registry method can only modify the background color of the software window, but not the title bar of the software program and other information to modify. If the user wants to modify the title bar of the software program, then first open the system settings window, click on the “Personalization” button in the “Color” option, and then select the desired color, and check the following ” Title bar and window border” option can be.

Some software comes with the function of changing the background color, if the user changes its default settings, then you must first return to the original default settings, otherwise the settings we just set will not be successfully displayed.
