Apple desktop’s stunning and convenient file management has always been something that fruit fans are proud of, and for Windows 10 users, it is now possible to achieve Apple-like desktop with the help of some third-party software, so that we can experience Apple’s charm on Windows 10.
The Dock bar of Apple system is one of the important components to improve the efficiency of desktop operation, and now with the help of RocketDock you can make the Windows 10 desktop look like Apple. However, in order to make our desktop look more stunning and to use it more smoothly, we need to optimize it with the help of other auxiliary software.
The first step is to make the Windows 10 taskbar transparent, which is done with the help of StartlsBack. Launch StartlsBack and switch to “Appearance”, select the “Plain8+Windows 10” button for visual effects, check the “Customize taskbar color” under Customize appearance on the right side, then pull the slider to the right. “Then pull the slider to the far left (Figure 1).

Click “OK” and return to the desktop, so that the color of the taskbar will be transparent. To make it easier to use the Dock bar. Right-click the taskbar to remove the “Lock taskbar” checkbox, and then hold the mouse to drag it to the right sidebar of the desktop. At the same time into the taskbar settings, check the “automatically hide the taskbar”, so that the default taskbar is hidden, only after the mouse slide to the right side of the desktop next ah will automatically display, the entire desktop looks more concise (Figure 2).

Next, download RocketDock, launch the program, click “Program Settings”, switch to “Style”, click “Get More”, and then link to the official homepage of the software. Download the “Mac OS X Leopard Skin” style plug-in and apply this Apple theme after downloading, so that RocketDock will apply the Apple style icons (Figure 3).
Tip: If you want to change the font, border color, etc., you need to restart RocketDock as administrator in order to make the saved settings take effect, otherwise the settings will not be saved successfully due to UAC limitations.

Switch to “Location” and set its position to the bottom of the desktop. Switch to “Behavior” option, check “Auto-hide”, then the dock bar will be hidden normally and will appear only when the mouse passes by, the display time can be set to 100ms, so that the default dock bar will be automatically hidden and can be displayed immediately after the mouse sweeps by (Figure 4). This way, the default dock bar will be automatically hidden, and it can be shown immediately after the mouse swipe (Figure 4).

After finishing the above settings, we can add the required items to the dock bar according to our actual needs. For example, just drag the commonly used shortcuts to the dock bar below, so that later the mouse can move to the dock bar and click the shortcut to start the program, and the same method can be used for other commonly used programs or folders to attach to the dock bar, so that you can quickly start the program or open the commonly used folder through the dock bar on the desktop (Figure 5).

However, adding more items to the dock bar will look messy and inconvenient for daily use, so we can also use the Stacks Docklet plugin to achieve the animated popup menu effect. As above, click “Get More” behind the “Style” option theme in RocketDock and follow the link to the official website to download the Stacks Docklet plugin. Then right-click on the dock bar and select “Add Item → Stacks Docklet”. At this time on the dock bar will add a Stacks Docklet plug-in icon, click on the pop-up settings window, follow the prompts to select the folder and icon you need to include the project can be. For example, we can place all the common shortcuts in “F:Common Shortcuts”, add the above folder under “folder items” and set the icon (Figure 6).

When you return to the dock bar and click on the Stacks Docklet plugin icon, all the shortcuts in the above added files will pop up in animated form and you can launch the program quickly by clicking on them (Figure 7).

OK, after finishing the above settings. Right-click on the desktop and select “View”, remove the checkbox before “Show desktop icons”, so that all desktop icons will disappear. The dock bar is a simple and uncomplicated desktop (Figure 8).
