Na is a common component of Windows 10, but the system has few parameters for Na settings. How can you make your system’s Xiaona different? Now with Cortana Sysdiag Tool (hereinafter referred to as CST) you can easily tune Na.
Control yourself by networking
The previous version of Windows 10 provided Group Policy to disable the network, but the latest version has blocked this feature.
If you want to re-enable the feature, you can start CST, then switch to “Advanced” and check “Block Cortana’s networking behavior” (Figure 1).
Figure 1 Disabling the networking of Xiaona
When you disable Cortana’s networking, Cortana’s original connections to Bing search, push headlines, push to-do lists, time- or location-based reminders, and random jokes are automatically blocked, making Cortana’s functions more pure. If you just want to let Nana search for local files, you can also check the box “Disable Cortana to search only using Windows itself” in “General” to make Nana a single search (Figure 2).

More natural color mixing
Windows 10 can set many theme colors, but the default search box of Cortana only has a white background, which looks incongruous when the taskbar is set to other colors. If you continue to check “Cortana search box color control” under the “General” setting in CST and enable it, the color of the search box will match the color of the taskbar (Figure 3).

More settings to make Xiaona better
In addition to using CST to set up the settings, Nana itself also supports some custom settings. For example, you can turn off the search history on your device (for those who use Microsoft account, the search history will be automatically synced to your device) and local history if you use it frequently. For users with children, you can set Safe Search to “Strict”, so that the search results will automatically block inappropriate text and images for children. To do this, open “Xiaona→Settings”, and then turn on or off the options in the window that opens according to your actual needs (Figure 4).
