You will learn how to recover unsaved versions of documents,allow only certain types of formatting and editing bysetting restrictions, apply password protection to documents, and markdocuments as final to protect users from editing the finalversion of a document.
If a user closes a document without saving it, the program stores aversion in the temporary files list so that it is recoverable. The userusually has 4 days from the document creation date to restore theversion.
Previously saved files—that have been opened and edited, but closedwithout saving—can be restored as an autosaved draft fromthe Microsoft Backstage view. These features are particularly useful ifa power outage occurs or your system becomes unstable.
Please note, however, that to recover files, you must make surethat you enable the following features in the Microsoft Word environmentbeforehand.
