Software recommendation: SideSlide makes unified management more worry-free

Commonly used shortcut items are shortcuts to software, paths to frequently used folders, URL links, tags, RSS feeds, etc. In the past, we used to manage these items with different software. In fact, you can use a SideSlide software to manage these items in one place. With this software, even any items on the desktop can be eliminated.

1. floating panel

When you start SideSlide, you will have a floating panel by default, which contains the various categories of shortcut items as described above. The size of the panel can be scaled by dragging the panel border. For the specific position of the panel, you can use the right-click menu in the upper-right corner of the icon and select one of the four screen border options, which can be applied to the top, left, right, and bottom of the screen (Figure 1).

If you need to create a new shortcut category item, right-click on the blank space in the shortcut panel and select New command, you can choose 11 types of shortcut items. These include: Container, Folder Container, RSS News Feed, Note, Reminder, File Shortcut, Folder Shortcut, Web URL, System Command, and Picture (Figure 2). By right-clicking on each category, you can create the corresponding sub-items.



Tip: The small circle in the upper left corner of the SideSlide interface is used to lock or unlock the window position for window dragging or fixing.

3. completely empty Create a new one from scratch

If you feel that the default category options do not meet your management requirements, then you can also push back and rebuild. Press the F3 function key in the software floating panel to call out the software settings window, then click the Clear Workspace button at the bottom of the window to confirm that all the default category items in the floating panel will disappear (Figure 3). After that, right-click on the blank space of the floating panel and select the New command to create new items and their sub items to form a personalized and quick management system.


Tip: In the Settings window of the software, you can specifically set the parameters of the container items and shortcuts. If you need to change the style of the shortcut management panel, click the Appearance tab, in which you can customize the color and style of the floating panel by selecting the theme, color, button style, font, etc. (Figure 4).
