Sorting table contents in Microsoft Word 2019

  1. Select the column you would like to sort by (in this case, Staff Member was selected).
  2. Click on the Layout tabunder Table Tools.
  3. Choose Sortas illustratedin the following screenshot:

  1. In the Sort dialog box, noticethat the Word program has automatically detected that the table has aHeader row. Choose whether to sortAscending (A-Z) or Descending (Z-A) using the options on theright, as illustrated in the following screenshot:
