Many people are paid for their work in relation to the hours they work, or what we often call hourly work. For these people, it becomes necessary to keep accurate records of working hours and pay. Now, the task of time recording and payroll management for hourly jobs can be accomplished with Alternate Timer software.
1. Create a work schedule with one click
Click the first button on the toolbar to create a new work schedule (Figure 1). Then click the Save button to save the timesheet as an .atf file. After the work schedule is created, by double-clicking the record of a certain day, the event record editing window is displayed, and then you can set the work start time, end time, and break break time in between.
In addition, you can also add some note text information (Figure 2).
2. Flexible options Use the various views
You can quickly switch between schedules by using the schedule and the yearly overview table together. Execute the “View→Month Browser” command (or press the F2 function key) to open the yearly schedule navigation bar on the left. The + button at the bottom allows you to add previously saved monthly schedules to the navigation bar list. Then you can open the monthly schedule preview by double-clicking the monthly schedule name in the left navigation bar.
The preview view of the monthly table on the right can be selected in two forms: execute the “View→Display as→Calendar” menu command (or F6 function key) to display the schedule in the form of “Calendar View”; and execute the “View→Display as→Table” command (or F7 function key) to display the schedule in “Table View” (Figure 3). “View→Display as→Table” command (or F7 function key), you can use the “Table view” to display the schedule (Figure 3).
3. Show or hide Using payroll display
Closely related to working hours is payroll. In the time management system, we can set the payroll items to be displayed or hidden. To record and display the payroll in the timesheet, execute the “View→Salary” command in the timesheet (or press F10) and execute it again to close the payroll item (Figure 4).
Tip: The “Edit→Protect” command allows you to set password protection for the current schedule. In addition to saving the timesheet in the software’s own atf format, it can also be exported to csv, htm and txt formats so that it can be used further in other programs (Figure 5).
