Windows 10 is already relatively simple and practical, but we can still continue to explore the existing basic features to find more convenient or more personalized ways to use it. For example, the system configuration information is attached to the desktop wallpaper; the screen saver configuration program can be quickly called on the desktop, and the screen saver can be launched directly without the control panel, and the parameters of the screen saver can be quickly controlled manually, etc.
1. system information on the wallpaper with one click
Every time you check the system configuration information, you do not need to enter the system “settings”, or with the help of tools to view? In fact, if you use a small software BGInfo, you can completely attach various system information to the desktop wallpaper.
After running BGInfo, a countdown timer will appear in the top right corner of the window by default (Figure 1).
If the user does not perform any operation, the system information options provided by the software by default will be attached to the top right corner of the current wallpaper after the countdown is over, and the software will exit automatically at the same time. At this point, when you return to the desktop, you will find a series of system information has appeared in the upper right corner of the desktop wallpaper (Figure 2).
Tip: If you don’t want the software to automatically set up a delayed exit, simply click on the countdown area in the upper right corner and the countdown message will disappear, at which point the software interface will always be presented.
BGInfo is much more than that, it is very customizable. First, we can select the system information items that need to be displayed through the Fields list box at the top right of the software window and click Add to add them to the left display box; we can also add user-defined system items by clicking the Custom button. You can customize the font, font size, font type, alignment, etc. of the system information displayed through the toolbar buttons or the list. The Background button at the bottom right changes the background color, and the Position button changes the position of the information on the screen. Click the Apply button to take effect after the settings are made. 2.
2. Screen saver Quick configuration for quick use
Although the role of screen saver is obsolete, its presentation meaning is still practical. However, because of its deep burial, it is inconvenient for users to set and use. We can use the following methods to make the screensaver easier to use.
If you want to configure the screensaver, you can create a screensaver configuration shortcut on the desktop. When creating a new shortcut, enter the following location for “Please type the location of the object” (Figure 3).
Set a shortcut name, such as “Screensaver Settings”.
If you find it troublesome to launch a screensaver through the control panel, you can also create a shortcut to the screensaver program to launch it directly. To create a screensaver shortcut, simply type the following command in the object location.
The “Yourscr.scr” file is the specific screensaver program and should be changed to your screensaver file name when using it.
Another aspect of screensaver usage is the manual quick control at critical moments. For example, if you are burning a CD or watching a movie, and the screensaver suddenly takes effect, it is a big bummer. In this case, it is very convenient to use FlipSS, a software that allows you to control the status of the screensaver (on and off) at any time.
